David P. Rible (born August 28, 1967) is an American Republican Party politician, who has served in the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 30th legislative district since January 10, 2012. Prior to redistricting, he represented the 11th legislative district in the Assembly from January 8, 2008.

Biography

Rible attended Brookdale Community College majoring in Criminal Justice and Seton Hall University, also majoring in Criminal Justice. He is a Certified Forensic Locksmith.[1] Rible is a resident of Wall Township, New Jersey.

Rible retired from the Wall Township Police Department at age 31 due to a back injury that left him "totally and permanently disabled" and qualified him for an enhanced pension of $54,000 in addition to his salary as a legislator. A News 12 New Jersey investigation in 2010 found that Rible rehabilitates regularly at a gym and runs in road races. The state pension board notified Rible that he may be subject to annual medical exams to confirm that he is still disabled.[2]

Rible served on the Wall Township Planning Board from 2000-07.[1]

In the Assembly, Rible served as the Republican Whip, and was elected Republican Conference Leader in January, 2012. He serves in the Assembly on Telecommunications and Utilities Committee and the Law and Public Safety Committee.[1]
