Dasheri

Dasheri is a variety of mango grown in different parts of North India, Nepal and Pakistan.
In 18th century, the Dasheri mango first appeared in the gardens of Nawab of Lucknow. Since then numbers of Dasheri plants have been produced and planted throughout India.
People from village Dasheri near Kakori, Uttar Pradesh believe that they have the mother plant of Dasheri mango which gave this variety of mango same name.
Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer of Dasheri mango.
History
The Original mango tree (of Dasehri) originated in the gardens of Mr.(Late) Syed Mohammed Anser Zaidi, situated in Village Dasehri, Block Kakori, Dist. Lukcnow. The gardens are still owned by the family of Mohammed Anser.
