Dario Vujičević (born 1 April 1990) is a Bosnian-born Croatian[1][2] professional footballer who currently plays for Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo.

Early life

Vujičević was born in Sarajevo, then still part of SFR Yugoslavia, his family later fled to Gronau, Germany to escape the Bosnian War.[3]

Career

Club career

Vujičević played with the youth teams of Borussia Emsdetten, FC Schalke 04 and FC Twente, before making his senior debut for FC Twente on 25 April 2009. He moved on loan to VVV-Venlo in January 2011. On 5 July 2012, Vujičević joined Heracles Almelo on a two-year contract.

International career

He received his first international call up to the Croatian U–21 by team coach Dražen Ladić for the match against Slovenia on 16 November 2010.
