Dapeng New District (Dapenghua IPA: [tʰaj pʰuŋ sɐn kʰy:]) is a new district under the jurisdiction of Longgang District in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province of People's Republic of China. It has a land area of 294.18 square kilometers, a coastline of 133.22 km, with a total population of about 180,000. The district was created by on 30 December 2011. The administration center is located on 5 Dapeng Street, Zhongshan Road.[1]

Administrative divisions

The jurisdiction of Dapeng New District includes all of Dapeng Peninsula, former known as three subdistricts Dapeng, Kuichong, Nanao, with a total of 25 neighborhoods.

Travel

Dapeng New New District is located along the sea with a coastline up to 130 kilometers with beaches, islands, reefs, sea cliffs, caves, bridges, columns and other landforms marina areas. It was proclaimed as the most beautiful coastal scenery in Guangdong, as known as the Pearl of Shenzhen and Oriental Hawaii. Nanao coastal area is a populated by tourists as well as local fishermen. The two islands of Sanmen and Laishi consist of aboriginal scenery. Local attraction Xichong is also located in the district being famous for its undeveloped beach.

Produce

Dapeng is rich in fresh seafood, especially in Dapeng Bay known for its all season seafood.
