Dany Achille Nounkeu Tchounkeu (born 11 April 1986) is a footballer who plays for Beşiktaş and the Cameroon national football team.

Career

Nounkeu began his career at Collège Vogt Atletic[citation needed]in Yaoundé and joined FC Metz in July 2005.[1] He originates from the Bamileke tribe of the West Region of Cameroon. After a successful year Nounkeu left FC Metz and signed in 2006 with CSO Amnéville.[2] He played two years for CSO Amnéville and joined than in July 2008 to Pau FC and played 24 matches in the 2008/2009 Championnat de France amateur season.[3]

Toulouse

On 5 June 2009 Toulouse FC signed the Cameroonian centre-back from French amateur club Pau FC until June 2011.[4]

Gaziantepspor

At 1 September 2010 he signed with the Turkish outfit Gaziantepspor for 3 years. The amount of the transfer has not been disclosed.

Galatasaray

On 7 June 2012, he completed a €3.3 million move to Galatasaray, on a 4-year contract.[5]

International career

Nounkeu presented his homeland international at 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Finland.[6] His first call-up for the senior side the Lions Indomptables was in November 2004 under Winfried Schäfer.[7]
