Daniel Petrie, Jr. (born November 30, 1951),[1] the son of Daniel Petrie, Sr. and brother of Donald Petrie, is perhaps best known as one of the screenwriters of the mid-1980s films Beverly Hills Cop and The Big Easy as well as the director of Toy Soldiers.[2][3]
He also was the president of the western chapter of the Writers Guild of America in the 2000s.
