Independent Circuit
Omielanczuk made his mixed martial arts debut in 2009, fighting in various independent promotions. His first fight was at FCK - Lobez where he beat Karol Celinski by unanimous decision. He then took part at KSW 12: Najman vs. Pudzianowski, where he fought in two separate fights, but lost both of them.[1] After losing at VAC - Victory and Glory 1, Daniel started a 11 fight win streak, beating various unknown fighters from Eastern Europe. The last fight that Daniel fought on the independent circuit was on December 15, 2012, where he fought to a unanimous decision win over David Tkeshelashvili. UFC signed him shortly after the fight.[2]
Ultimate Fighting Championship
After winning eleven in a row on the independent circuit, Omielanczuk made his UFC debut at UFC 165 against Nandor Guelmino and won by KO (punch) in the third round.[3][4]
Omielańczuk is expected to face Jared Rosholt on April 11, 2014 at UFC Fight Night 39.[5]
