Daniel Maggio (born March 4, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). Maggio was selected by the New York Rangers in the 6th round (170th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Maggio played five seasons (2007 - 2012) of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), scoring 25 goals and 75 assists for 100 points, while earning 491 penalty minutes, in 284 OHL games.
Maggio made his professional debut in 2012, joining the Fort Wayne Komets, then of the Central Hockey League (CHL), to help them capture the 2012 Ray Miron President's Cup as league champions.[1]
