Dane Eagle, (born May 22, 1983) in Cape Coral, FL is a Republican politician who serves as the Representative from District 77 of the House of Representatives of the U.S. State of Florida.[1]

Eagle received his Bachelors Degree in economics from the University of Florida in 2005.

In November 2011, he announced his intention to run for the Florida House of Representatives District 77 seat being vacated by Rep. Gary Aubuchon.[2] In the Republican Primary for the District 77 Florida State House seat, Eagle defeated his republican primary opponent by a 41-point margin,[3] the largest margin of victory by any non-incumbent State Representative in the State of Florida.[4] On November 6, 2012 Eagle went on to win the general election.[5] He was once rumored to be on the short list of candidates expected to be elected as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives for the 2018-2020 term.[6]

During the Florida House of Representatives, District 77, General Election held on November 6, 2012 Dane Eagle defeated Arvella M. Clare (D) by receiving 38,936 (62.41%) votes.[7][8] Prior to the General Election, on August 14, 2012, Eagle won the 2012 Republican Primary receiving 10,026 (70.6%) votes.[9]
