Danbo is a fictional cardboard box robot character from Yotsuba&! manga. It is also known by several other name variations around the Internet:

  • Danbo (ダンボー Danbō) Yen Press translation
  • Danboard
  • Danboru
  • Danbooru
  • Cardbo ADV Manga translation[2]

It first appeared in Vol. 5 chapter 28.[3]

The character became well-known over the Internet as a hero of many Photo shoots, one of the famous is "365 Days of Danbo" by Arielle Nadel.[4]

Flickr returns over 30 000 photos tagged "Danboard".[5]

As of 2012 Danbo is being used as a Mascot for the Thai PBS show "Little Citizen".
