Damon Len Lathrope (born 28 October 1989) is an English footballer who plays for Hereford United on loan from Torquay United of League Two.
Playing career
Lathrope began his youth career at Cambridge United, though moved on to Norwich City's academy in 2006, signing his first two and a half year professional contract with the club in January 2008.[2] In November 2009 he joined Conference South club Bishop's Stortford on a two month loan.[2][3] In May 2010 he was released by the Canaries,[4] and signed with Torquay United in July 2010.[2]
He made his debut for the club on 11 August 2010, coming on as a 112th minute substitute for Danny Stevens in their League Cup First Round defeat to Reading at Plainmoor.[5] Having failed to establish himself in the 2010–11 season, Lathrope claimed his place in the side under the new regime of Martin Ling, following a formation change to 4-5-1 which saw Lathrope employed in a holding role in front of the back four.
He joined Hereford United on a months loan on 12 November 2013 making his debut the same day in a 2-2 draw with Chester.[6]
