Dale Carrick (born 7 January 1994) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership, as a forward. He has represented Scotland at under-16 and under-21 levels.

Early years

Dale is the son of Alan Carrick from Dumfries. Dale grew up as a fan of Dumfries club, Queen of the South.[1]

Career

Hearts

A member of Hearts Under-20 side[2] he made his Scottish Premier League debut on 4 August 2012, in a 2–0 win over St. Johnstone.[3] On 23 August 2012, in only his second appearance he made his European debut as substitute in a 1–0 defeat to Liverpool at Tynecastle.[4] His first goal for Hearts came on the 18th January 2014 in a thrilling 3-3 draw against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.[5]

Scotland

Carrick has represented Scotland at U16 level. He made his debut in an International Challenge match against Jersey on 18 August 2009 [6] and made four appearances in total.[7]
