Daisy Diamond is a 2007 Danish film, directed by Simon Staho and co-written by him and Peter Asmussen. Dark and tragic, the story revolves around Anna (Noomi Rapace), a fiercely ambitious young actress who dreams of success. Undoubtedly talented, Anna has one problem – being the single mother of a 4-month-old baby. Torn between her duties as a mother and her passion for acting and the need to earn money, Anna is driven to the limits of her patience - with tragic consequences. What follows is a downward spiral into the world of the casting couch, porn films and escort work.
