The 'Daily Naya Diganta' (Bengali: দৈনিক নয়া দিগন্ত Doinik Nôea Digônto "Daily New Horizon") is a Pro-Jamaati Bengali daily newspaper published in Bangladesh since 2004.[1][2]
Editor
Its founder and editor is Alamgir Mahiuddin . Its Executive Editor is Salahuddin Babar. Senior Assistant Editor (Editorial Chief) is Masud Majumder. Its News Editor is Masumur Rahman Khalily, Editional News Editor is Muhammad Baker Hossain, National Desk Editor Muhammad Saiful Islam, Joint News Editor Kazi Hafizur Rahman, Assistant News Editor Ahmed Motiur Rahman and Muhammad Khairul Bashar, Chief Reporter Touhidul Islam, Feature in-charge is Ahmed shahbuddin.[citation needed]
Regular columnists
Popular columnist writing regularly in the daily are Ebne Golam Samad, Serajur Rahman, Shafiq Rehman, its editor Alamgir Mahiuddin and so on. Freedom Fighter of Bangladesh Bongobir Qader Siddiqi has also started writing regularly.
Circulation
It is said to have a circulation of over 200,000 copies.[citation needed]
Supplements
The daily has two popular weeklies named as Therapy(থেরাপি) (magazine editor: Sohel Atol) and Abokash (অবকাশ) (magazine editor: Shah Muhammod Moshahid). Therapy is a fun magazine while in Abokash informative social issues get preference.
Popularity
Currently, the newspaper is one of the cheapest in the country. It was intoruduced at a price of BDT 5.00, which was later raised to BDT 6.00 and then BDT 8.00.[citation needed]
