Dafne Schippers (born 15 June 1992 in Utrecht) is a Dutch athlete competing in heptathlon and the sprints. She started track and field at the age of nine and immediately it was clear that she was very talented. In the Netherlands athletics for children means doing multi events and Dafne liked it so much (except for the longer distances) that she later chose the heptathlon as her primary discipline. Especially the short distances are her strong disciplines.

Schippers won gold medals at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics and 2011 European Athletics Junior Championships. A few years later also gold on the 100 meters and bronze in the long jump at the 2013 European Athletics U23 Championships.

In 2011 in Daegu she broke the Dutch national record in 200 meters. She is co-record holder in the 4 x 100 relay.
