Dabu County (Chinese: 大埔县) is a district of Meizhou, Guangdong Province of China. It is a center of Hakka culture.
Dabu County (大埔县) controls the following zhen (镇, township) - 湖寮镇 (Huliao zhen), 高陂镇 (Gaopi zhen), 茶阳镇 (Chayang zhen), 大麻镇 (Dama zhen), 三河镇 (Sanhe zhen), 银江镇 (Yinjiang zhen), 光德镇 (Guangde zhen), 桃源镇 (Taoyuan zhen), 枫朗镇 (Fenglang), 大东镇 (Dadong zhen), 西河镇 (Xihe zhen), 青溪镇 (Qingxi zhen), 洲瑞镇 (Zhourui zhen), 百侯镇 (Baihou zhen).
The administrative center is at 湖寮镇 (Huliao zhen); formerly it was at 茶阳镇 (Chayang zhen), an ancient town. The people are mainly Hakka.
The famous personalities of Dabu people are:
- Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore
- Yong Mun Sen, an artist, the father of water color of Malaysia
