Da'i

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Arabic: "missionary") refers to a person who engages in Dawah, the act of inviting people to Islam. Dai is different from Da'i al-Mutlaq, which means dai with independent special power. Da'i al-Mutlaq can be called dai but every dai is not Da'i al-Mutlaq. Example: Dai Shirazi was not Da'i al-Mutlaq, but Dai Zoeb was Da'i al-Mutlaq.
