History

Around 1986, during the Philippines' historic People Power Revolution, after DZRJ-AM reformatted as Radyo Bandido with a news, talk & public service format, the music format revived in FM as RJ BossRadio 100.3.

Around 1999 to 2001, it renamed itself to The Hive 100.3 playing alternatives & classic rock music. Its format was similar to the defunct RJ Underground Radio 105.9. However it lasted for 3 years because of its ratings. In 2002, it changed branding to RJ 100. It began bringing news from VOA & BBC similar to DZRJ-AM.
