DZFX was the first FM radio station in the Philippines. It began broadcasting on May 29, 1968. Studios and transmitter were located at the Insular Life Building on Ayala Avenue corner Paseo de Roxas in Makati City. The station played classical music and launched careers of established names in the radio and television industry today.
DZFX-FM ceased its operation in 1975. The current license holder of 87.5 MHz is the Thomsun Broadcasting Network, owned by the Salin family of Quezon City which also owns Zamboanga Broadcasting Company.
