Dáibhí Ó Cróinín

Dáibhí Ó Cróinín is an academic Irish historian, a Professor of History at the National University of Ireland, Galway (N.U.I. Galway). M.Phil., Ph.D. (N.U.I.), and Member of the Royal Irish Academy. He is a grandson of Elizabeth Cronin (née Ó hIarlaithe; 1879–1956), an Irish traditional singer. An author of many articles and contributor to several books, he specialises in medieval Irish and European history, Early Irish Script and Early Irish Law.
