Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing video game announced in 2012, based on the Cyberpunk series of tabletop role-playing games.[4] The game is being developed by CD Projekt RED[5] Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a dystopian futuristic world in which ultra-modern technology co-exists with a degenerated human society.

Gameplay

The game aims to be mature and ambitious, with character customization being strongly tied to the plot.[6] It will have a linear story with different character classes.[7] It will have both first-person and third-person perspectives[8][9]

Voice work

Lead writer Sebastian Stepien said the game will have non-player characters speaking in non-English languages.[10] Player characters who don't speak the language will be sh#t out of luck as stated by Stepien.[11]

Stepien also said they would try to get native speakers to do the voices.[12] "You can't reliably recreate [the] street slang of Los Angeles or some other American city; you can't simply dub it and reproduce those emotions, rhythm of speech, mannerisms... Otherwise we'd simply hear that Polish actors are trying to imitate Americans. That won't work."[13]

Development

The developers said that it will not be ready until late 2015 at the earliest because of their other projects that take over production of Cyberpunk.[14]
