Curtis Finch, Jr. (born January 16, 1988) is an American singer from St. Louis, Missouri, who came in tenth place on the twelfth season of American Idol.[1]

Overview

Finch Jr. had previously auditioned in the fourth and eleventh seasons. In the eleventh season, he made it to the Las Vegas rounds where he was grouped with Amber Holcomb, Shannon Magrane and Joshua Ledet.

In the semi-finals of the twelfth season, Finch Jr. performed "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly, which earned him a standing ovation and much praise from the judges. On March 7, 2013, Finch, Jr. was voted into the Top 10.[2] However, he received the lowest amount of votes after his Top 10 performance, and was sent home on March 14, 2013 after the judges decided against using their "Judges' Save" power.
