Crossocheilus langei

Crossocheilus is a genus of fish in the family Cyprinidae, the carps and minnows. It is distributed in Asia,[1] including India, China, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.[2]

A fish of this genus has a large rostral cap on its snout with a fringe of tassel-like fissures covering the upper jaw, a mouth in an inferior position on the snout, and one or two pairs of barbels.[2]

These fish occur in several types of habitat, often fast-flowing rivers with rocky bottoms.[3]
