Cristóbal Andrés Jorquera Torres (born 4 August 1988) is a Chilean footballer, who currently plays second striker for Turkish club Eskişehirspor on loan from Genoa.
Club career
Colo-Colo
After many years in the Colo-Colo youth squads, in January 2006 Jorquera was promoted to the first team. He made his competitive debut in a Torneo de Apertura match against Universidad de Concepción at Estadio Municipal de Concepción in 4 June 2006, as an 60th-minute substitute for Benjamín Ruíz. In the same tournament, Colo-Colo won the Primera División title, being Jorquera's first professional title. After of the departure of the Colo-Colo star Jorge Valdivia to Palmeiras, the player described to Jorquera as his successor. On 4 October 2006, he played his international game Alajuelense, in a 4–0 Copa Sudamericana victory. However, he only played nine games for the Torneo de Clausura.
In January 2007, was announced that Jorquera joined Primera División side Ñublense on loan for six months. On 27 January 2007, he played his first game for the club against Deportes Puerto Montt. With the pass of time, Jorquera become a key player in the club, being compared with Valdivia for his good performance. On 6 July 2007, he scored his first goal for the club and also his professional goal against Cobresal at Estadio Nelson Oyarzún. During June, Jorquera his loan finish with Ñublense and returned to Colo-Colo, but he was loaned to Unión Española for six months. With the latter he played 15 games during the Torneo de Clausura.
He returned to Colo-Colo in 2008 and was included in the preseason as titular. On 21 February 2008, he played his first match for a Copa Libertadores against Atlas de Guadalajara at Estadio Jalisco. His first goal for the club was in a Copa Libertadores match with Boca Juniors in a 2–0 victory.
In 2011 he was part of the Colo-Colo team that suffered their worst ever start to a season, failing to win their first four games. He played his part in the recovery, scoring a couple of well regarded goals in victories against Palestino and Unión Española.[1][2]
Genoa
On 31 August 2011, Jorquera signed a contract with the Italian Serie A side Genoa for 4 years.
