Ukrainian cricket team
The Ukrainian cricket team is a fledgling team which represents the nation of Ukraine in international cricket competitions. They are not officially endorsed by the International Cricket Council and are therefore not entitled to participate in ICC official events, however they do have an application to the European Cricket Council pending, which should see them granted affiliate status in the near future.
Governing body and tournaments
KCC (Kyiv Cricket Club) is the main cricketing body of Ukraine. For almost 12 years (since 2000) KCC is organizing cricket in Ukraine. Ukraine's cricket calendar is full of activities with three major tournaments. The first is ASMC (Amit Sisodia Memorial Cup) which is a national tournament and is running since 2006. In 2012 - eight teams have participated in the tournament. KCL ( Kyiv Cricket League ) is now running successfully for last 5 years and is limited to teams from Kyiv Oblast (state) with allowance of 4 players from anywhere of Ukraine and 1 Ukrainian player in the playing XI. In 2012, 7 teams participated. The last tournament of the season is Champion's League which includes the semi-finalists of the two earlier tournaments.
Stadium
Most of the matches for last 5 years are being conducted at Voskhod Stadium (address Street Prevokzalnaya 12) which essentially is a football pitch adapted for cricket. Cricket matches are being played on a matting wicket. The format consists of T-20 (ICC Rules).
Finances
Business people or expats from south-east Asian countries (mainly from India) support KCC financially in order to carry out the activities.

Future of cricket in Ukraine amongst Ukrainians
KCC along with Wayne Zschch is developing a cricket ground at Kagarlyk which should be functional by 2013 - April / May. This ground should provide lively Astrotur covered cement wicket and a lovely green outfield to take the game in Ukraine to the next level.
