Creative Loafing is a U.S. city newsweekly serving the Atlanta metropolitan area covering local news, politics, arts, entertainment, food, music and events. Its weekly print circulation is 80,000, and its cumulative readership in print and through the website clatl.com over a four-week period is 535,778 according to The Media Audit survey from Aug. - Sept. 2013.
Founded in 1972, the paper was purchased by SouthComm in 2012.[2]
Creative Loafing’s publisher is Sharry Smith, a 20-plus year veteran of the newspaper. Prior to becoming the publisher of CL Atlanta, Smith held ad director and publisher positions at Creative Loafing Tampa.
