Controlinveste is a Portuguese media holding company founded by Portuguese sports mogul and F.C. Porto supporter Joaquim Oliveira.[1] Controlinveste was founded in 2005 after the amalgamation of Lusomundo Media and Olivedesportos.

In October 2012, Controlinveste sold to Angolan investment group Newshold all of its newspapers, including Diário de Notícias; Jornal de Notícias; TSF (radio); O Jogo and Açoriano Oriental, focusing uniquely on its major asset, Sport TV.[2][3]
