Conrad Keely (formerly Conrad Sobsamai) (born 15 May 1972) is a British-born, American musician, known primarily as the lead singer for the rock band ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. He is also an artist and writer. He plays wurlitzer and fiddle for Austin, Texas country-folk band Brothers and Sisters.

Born in England of Irish and Thai descent.[1] Conrad grew up in Thailand, the U.S. state of Hawaii and Bedworth, England.[citation needed] He then moved with his family to Olympia, Washington, where he attended The Evergreen State College, before settling in Austin, Texas. Conrad has relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.[2] He decided to move there being unsatisfied with the general situation in the US.[3]

Artwork

Prior to his interest in becoming a musician, Keely, an avid fan of the X-Men, aspired to be an artist for Marvel Comics. He even noted that, as a reference to Secret Wars, he wanted to include a New Mutants character in the collage cover art of Worlds Apart.[4] Keely has commonly incorporated his drawings and paintings into Trail of Dead's album art and has displayed his works at the RIATS Fest. In 2013 he plans to bring out his first book.[5]
