From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nikola, Comita (Count), was a Bulgarian nobleman who, by his wife Ripsimia (also known as Hripsime), an Armenian,[1] was father of Counts David, Moses and Aron, and of tsar Samuil of Bulgaria. He may have ruled Serdica[2] or, according to other sources, was a local count in the region of modern Republic of Macedonia.[3] His son Samuil ruled as emperor of the First Bulgarian Empire from 996 to 1014.
