Coltemonikha, stylised as "COLTEMONIKHA" or "COLTEMÖNIKHA", was a Japanese electronica duo consisting of model and fashion designer Kate Sakai (Sakai Keito) (酒井景都) and record producer Yasutaka Nakata.[1][2]

The group was formed as a project that combined music and fashion. The duo produced two mini-albums and a compilation album to date, which were made to complement Sakai's fashion line "Made in Colkinikha". The name is a portmanteau of the brands "Colkinikha" and "Contemode".

Musical style

Coltemonikha's music is technopop-styled with picopop and electronic influences. The lyrics, written by Sakai, generally carry a light-hearted mood and are written in both Japanese and English.

Discography

Coltemonikha released two mini-albums, the first on 17 May 2006 and the second on 26 September 2007. On 14 December 2011, Coltemonikha released a best-of album that features a combination of their two mini-albums, a video and two new songs.
