Colney Heath F.C. is a football club based in Colney Heath, near St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.

History

The club was founded in 1907 and played in the Hatfield District League.[1] After the first world war the club joined the Mid-Herts Football League.[1] In 1953 the club joined Division two of the Hertfordshire Senior County League winning it a the first attempt.[2] The club then won division 1a two seasons later when the league was in transitional phase and became champions overall of the league.[2] The club then won the premier division three seasons later in the 1958–59 campaign.[3]

The club then spent the next 41 seasons in the Hertfordshire Senior County League, playing in all the divisions during this time.[3] Their last season in the Herts county league, saw the club crowned champiosn of the league and win promotion to the Spartan South Midlands League Senior Division, which was renamed Division one in 2001. The club gained promotion to the Premier division at the end of the 2005–06 campaign as champions of Division one.[3]
