Colchester by-election, 1870

The Colchester by-election of 1870 was fought on 3 November 1870. The byelection was fought due to the Death of the incumbent MP of the Liberal Party, John Gurdon Rebow. It was won by the Conservative candidate Alexander Learmonth.[1]
