Closer (Anberlin song)

Closer is the second single from alternative rock band, Anberlin's 2010 studio album, Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place. It is the fourth track on the band's fifth studio album, following the release of lead single, Impossible the year before. Unlike most of the band's singles, Closer has no artwork and was released by purely digital means. It is placed between the tracks Take Me (As You Found Me) and You Belong Here and was first aired on public radio on February 16, 2011. The song was also played on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on February 22, 2011 to promote the single, gaining an audience on both the television and the radio.^[1] Despite the promotion, the single was not as successful as it's predecessor, Impossible, spending only three weeks on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart, peaking at number 39.^[2]

While Impossible managed to chart on all of the lists below, Closer only managed to chart on the US Alternative Songs category.
