Clipper Group is an international shipping company, founded in 1991 by Torben Gülnar Jensen, after a split of Armada Shipping A/S which was founded in 1972 together with Jørgen Dannesboe.

Clipper Group is commercially headquartered in Copenhagen and legally in Nassau, Bahamas, and has approx. 240 employees on shore.

Clipper Group operates around 175 vessels, with a primary focus on Bulk (dry cargo). The group also has significant investments in a range of other maritime activities, such as project vessels (multipurpose), chemical and product tankers, ferry services and ro-ro (Seatruck Ferries).

Operations

The Group has recently made a change in their executive management structure due to business consolidation and a strong focus on their core business. In January 2013, the former CFO from MT Hojgaard, Mr. Flemming Steen, was appointed as the new Clipper Group CFO. In addition, Clipper is pursueing a dual-CEO strategy with Gary Vogel and Kristian Morch.[1]
