Clearwater High School is a public high school located in Clearwater, Florida. It is a member of the Pinellas County School System. The school's mascot is the Tornadoes. Their colors are Crimson and Gray which is also the name of their fight song. The school is known for great athletic teams in boys basketball, girls basketball, swimming, and girls flag football. Former NFL pro bowler Donnie Abraham has been hired as the Head Football Coach, with the tall task of reviving the once proud football program.

The Jack L. Wilson Gymnasium is named in honor of coach Jack L. Wilson.

The school's motto is "Tradition, Honor, Pride."

Notable Programs

CDMP (Clearwater Digital Media Productions) @ CHS is the school's award winning broadcast journalism program. CDMP is a merging and converging of technology. Students produce CTTV, WPYG Radio and Clearlight Newspaper. http://my.hsj.org/cdmp CDMP student film department produced a community awareness project via what is known as a "Lip Dub". What makes this Lip Dub unique is the students selection of theme and song choice. Sports, clubs, and classes have chosen to represent their groups by selecting a color and cause to support. Over thirty causes were represented throughout the course of the Lip Dub ranging from Heart Disease (Red) to Leukemia (orange).
