Claudia Pastorino
Claudia Pastorino (born 1965 in Genoa) is a popular Italian singer and singer-songwriter, writer and teacher of Voice and Voice-Therapy. Since 1991, she was the first female singer-songwriter of the famous so-called "Genoese School of Singer-Songwriters". She has founded the "Italian School of Voice-Therapy".

Books
Claudia also dedicated herself to the learning of the Jainism Doctrine and translated “SAMAN SUTTAM, the Basis of Jainism, the most ancient Doctrine of Non-violence” (published in Italy in 2001 by MONDADORI). In 2002 Claudia published "Jainism, the most ancient Doctrine of Nonviolence, Compassion and Ecology" by Edizioni Cosmopolis; this work contains the Italian translation of "THE BOOK OF COMPASSION". In 2003 Claudia published her latest book on Jainism, "Essence of Jainism: History, Philosophy, Tales" by Editori Riuniti. In 2000 Claudia published "The centering of Tao". Claudia has also contributed to the book VEGAGENDA 2012 (Edizioni Sonda) with her 14 Inserts on Jainism Issues. On the subject of Voice and Voice-Therapy, Claudia has published "CURARSI CON LA VOCE. QUANDO IL CANTO DIVENTA UNA VERA E PROPRIA TERAPIA" ("Heal yourself with the voice. When singing becomes a real therapy"), 2009 (Riza Scienze) and "IL CANTO E LA VITA. CANTOTERAPIA PER IL BENESSERE DI CORPO, MENTE, ANIMA E VOCE" ("Singing and life. Voice-therapy for the wellness of body, mind, soul and voice"), 2012 (Elegantia Doctrinae).
Animal Rights
Since 1983 Claudia volunteers as an activist for Animals Rights and Welfare, and she spreads Vegetarianism. In 1983 she founded the first Antivivisection Association in Liguria; this Association gave a strong boost and a great contribution to the Italian Animal Rights Movement of the following decade.
