Claude Goretta (born 23 June 1929, in Geneva, Switzerland) is an internationally successful television producer and film director. His 1973 film L'Invitation was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.[1] His 1981 film La provinciale was entered into the 31st Berlin International Film Festival.[2]
