Classic Rewind is a classic rock radio station, which centers on the late 1970s and 1980s, picking up musically where Classic Vinyl ends. It broadcasts on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 25[1] (previously 15) and XM Satellite Radio channel 25[2] (it was on 49, where it replaced Big Tracks on November 12, 2008). It can also be heard on Dish Network channel 6015 (or 099-25 on the Dish Network Hopper system). Artists heard on CR include Tom Petty, Journey, Cheap Trick, U2, John Mellencamp, Genesis, The Police, Boston, Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and The Cars.

The channel is often billed as classic rock from the "cassette era," which is where the channel's title is derived.

The music itself is played clearly from digital sources, but the DJ's voice is intentionally distorted for effect, made to sound like a bad FM broadcast or crackling audio cassette.

Carol's first concert was The Beatles. She would later catch Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors and many more. Carol was one of the first female radio personalities in the progressive rock era, and is featured at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum as one of the great DJs of rock and roll.

Weekdays 12 pm - 6 pm ET

Pat St. John has met or interviewed virtually every artist you see pictured on the above cassettes. Having been on the air since age 16, he has great stories about the artists and tunes. Although he hasn't been inducted, his picture hangs in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Weekdays 7 pm - 12 am ET

Currently partner in the film/TV production company HunterFilms and creator of the entertainment complex WorkPlay, Hunter was acting-slash-bartending in NYC when he was tapped to be one the five original MTV VJs. "They gave me the job and sweated the first six months, wondering if they’d made a mistake." Most interesting interview? "Ozzy Osbourne; he was speaking in tongues."

Weekends 12 pm - 6 pm ET

Mark Goodman remembers the moment he decided to work in radio. "I realized I didn't have the patience to learn an instrument and I had no other discernible skills." For a guy with "no discernible skills," Mark’s done okay. One of the original MTV VJs, he's been on the radio for over three decades.

Weekends 6 pm - 12 am ET

In decades of broadcasting, Kristine has been called "Stoner," "Stoney," "Baloney," "Mother of Rock" and more. Her most cherished nickname, though, is "Mommy," which is what her twin boys call her. "Mommy" still rocks and loves connecting with real people, which is what her show is all about.
