Rita Clarissa Burt is a former model and actress, best known for starring as Xayide in the 1990 film The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter. She has worked as TV presenter in Italy during the 1980s and 1990s.

Biography

At age 18, Burt worked as a model with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in New York. Soon after she moved to Milan and appeared on numerous magazine covers such as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan as well as on most of the major runway shows in Milan, Rome, Paris, New York, and Japan. This led to work for cosmetic houses Revlon, Dior, and Carita’, Helena Rubenstein and her selection as the worldwide "face" for Orlane Cosmetics.

Burt also performed in over twenty movies, including Warner Brother's The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter, where she played Queen Xayide, and as Giulia in the Italian production Caruso Pascosky di Padre Polacco.

In 1999, the began to work as a television producer, founding the Clarissa Burt Media Group in Italy. Its first productions included the nationally broadcast three-hour live broadcast of the Miss Universe Pageant, "The World Sports Awards", "Quizzauto", and "Behind the Scenes with The Miss". Her radio production, "Clarissa Burt Talks", featured Burt on Voice America and World Talk Radio, where she interviewed entrepreneurs and thinkers.

Burt hosts a "Good Morning, Italy" beauty segment called "Clarissa Suggests." She also works as a beauty editor for international publications, and markets various beauty products. In January 2014, her own network, Clarissa International TV is due to launch.
