Clarence is an upcoming American animated television series created by Skyler Page, a CalArts graduate and storyboard artist for Adventure Time. It is set to air on Cartoon Network sometime in 2014.[citation needed] It will be produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The series is rated TV-PG.[1]

The pilot episode for Clarence was released on Cartoon Network's video platform on May 21, 2013, but was later removed.[2]

On July 20, 2013, Cartoon Network uploaded an edited version of the pilot to their Facebook page and to their website.

On July 27, 2013, Cartoon Network aired a sneak peek as part of Big Fan Weekend, along with Uncle Grandpa and Steven Universe.[citation needed]

Synopsis

The series revolves around Clarence, a boy who, in a report by Deadline.com, "wants to do everything because everything is amazing".[3]

Characters

  • Clarence (voiced by Skyler Page) – Main protagonist, an optimistic child. He is the new kid at his school and in an attempt to make friends, invited all of his classmates to a sleepover. Jeff and Sumo are the only ones to show up, but he's happy with just them anyway. He loves his mom and the pizza pops she makes for him.
  • Jeff (voiced by Sean Giambrone) – Clarence's new friend at his school. He is a big fan of game shows and always gets the questions on them right. He tries to be very polite but doesn't seem to like to do things he doesn't normally do.
  • Sumo – (voiced by Gregory Smithers) - Clarence's second best friend. He used to have messy hair but he had Clarence cut it all off. He likes to party and seems to genuinely like Clarence and his choice of activities.
  • Chad (voiced by Eric Edelstein) – Clarence's mom's sketchy live-in boyfriend. He has a big beard, wears his underwear in the house, and drinks milk right out of the carton.
