City Centre Plaza is the second largest shopping centre in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia . It is located on the fringe of Rockhampton City, on the corner of Fitzroy and Bolsover Streets.

History and development

City Centre Plaza, a sub-regional shopping centre, commenced trading in 1989 after a stand-alone Target store was extended to include a Coles supermarket and 35 specialty stores.

Stockland purchased the centre as part of the Advance Property Fund in 2000, and on December 8, 2003, Stockland sold the centre to the JF Meridian Trust for A$38 million.[2]

In 2008, City Centre Plaza underwent a redevelopment which included repainting, new lighting throughout the centre, the upgrade of the amenities, new Mirvac-branded signage and new tables and chairs throughout the centre.

Transport

The Rockhampton City Bus Interchange is located a block away on Bolsover Street and services are provided by Capricorn Sunbus.
