Christopher M. Grimes
Christopher Martin Grimes (born 1948) is an artist residing in Bermuda. He is primarily an oil painter although occasionally he has produced watercolors.
Grimes also has a studio in Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada.
Grimes has produced oil portraits of many important subjects in Bermuda, most recently the official portrait of the Bishop of Bermuda to commemorate his retirement.
His notable paintings to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the settlement of Bermuda have been widely used this year (2009) in articles and features on the anniversary. Most notable are the cover illustration on the Bermudian Magazine of May 2009 and a documentary produced by Look TV in Bermuda.
His work has been used to illustrate a number of books on Bermuda as well as calendars and has been selected for publication as Christmas cards, most recently for His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda, Sir John Vereker and Lady Vereker in 2006.[1]
