Christoph Ahlhaus (born 28 August 1969 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg) is a German politician. He is a representative of the German Christian Democratic Union which he joined in 1985. He was the mayor of Hamburg from August 2010 to March 2011.
Ahlhaus was born on 28 August 1969. He is married and studied law at the universities of Heidelberg, Munich, Berlin, and Speyer.[1]
From May 7, 2008 to August 24, 2010 Ahlhaus was state minister of the Interior in Hamburg.[2] Since August 25, 2010, he has been the First Mayor of Hamburg. Christoph Ahlhaus has been critical of the Green Party during his tenure as Mayor of Hamburg.[3]
