Christine Sinicki was born in Milwaukee in March 1960. She was raised in the Bay View neighborhood and is a graduate of Bay View High School. After graduation, Sinicki worked as a waitress until becoming manager of a small business in Bay View. In 1981 she married Michael Sinicki. She has two children.

Rep. Sinicki's political career grew out of her involvement with her children’s education. She is a former PTA member and President. Sinicki served on the School board until 1998, when she was elected to the State Assembly.

In 2008, Rep. Sinicki was re-elected to the State Assembly for a 5th term. Shortly after inauguration, she was appointed Chair of the Assembly Labor Committee. She also serves on the Education Committee, the Education Reform Committee, the Transportation Committee, the Children & Families Committee, and the Veterans & Military Affairs Committee.
