Christopher David Dean born 17 January 1988 in Higher End, Wigan, Greater Manchester, is a rugby league player for Wakefield Trinity in the engage Super League. Dean's position of choice is as in the Centre but he can also operate as a Second-row or on the Wing. Chris signed for St. Helens aged 15 from the Orrell St James club in the Orrell district of Wigan. An exciting prospect for the future, he has made 23 first team scoring 10 tries. In December 2010, Wakefield announced that Dean had joined the club on a one-year contract from Saints and has been given the number 18 jersey for the coming season. After an impressive first season picking up 9 tries from 21 appearances he signed for Widnes and will link up with them for the 2012 season.

Information

In February 2009 Chris was selected as the new face on Calvin Klein in its up and coming marketing campaign to advertise the brand in Super League. Chris is also known as the dangerous "Dean Machine" amongst the St. Helens faithful as well as "Torvill" due the famous figure skating pairing Torvill and Dean. Dean is also renowned for his efforts on the "Smith Machine" - he has been known to lift 50 each side.
