The discography of American recording artist Chris Brown consists of six studio albums, four mixtapes, seventy-four singles, including forty-two as a featured artist, eight promotional singles and thirty-eight guest appearances. Brown's self-titled debut album was released in 2005, and reached number two on the US Billboard 200 and charted in the top ten of several other music markets. It was certified double platinum in the US, and gold in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. The album's lead single "Run It!" featuring rapper Juelz Santana, peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and spent a month atop the chart. Internationally, the single either charted at the top or inside the top ten of several charts. Chris Brown also included the US top ten singles "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" and "Say Goodbye", as well as the US R&B top five singles "Gimme That" featuring Lil Wayne, and "Poppin'". In 2006, Brown assisted Bow Wow on the single "Shortie Like Mine", a top ten hit in the US and New Zealand.

Brown released his second album, Exclusive, in 2007. It followed in the steps of its predecessor, reaching the top ten in several countries. Exclusive was certified double platinum in the US and Australia, and platinum in the UK. The album contained the hits "Kiss Kiss" featuring T-Pain, "With You" and "Forever". In addition, it contained the top five US R&B single "Take You Down", and "Superhuman" featuring Keri Hilson, which reached the top thirty in several international countries. The single "Wall to Wall" was also released. During the Exclusive period, Brown recorded a Christmas single, "This Christmas", for the 2007 film of the same name. In 2008, he appeared in a number of successful collaborations, including "No Air", a duet with Jordin Sparks, and "Shawty Get Loose" with Lil Mama and T-Pain. "Dreamer", a single for the AT&T Team USA OST soundtrack, reached the top twenty in the US.

In 2009, Brown released his third studio album Graffiti, which peaked in the top ten of the Billboard 200. It was preceded by the lead single "I Can Transform Ya" featuring Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz, which peaked within the top twenty of several countries. "Crawl" was also released as a single from the album. Originally only a mixtape cut, "Deuces" featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall, charted in the top twenty of the Billboard Hot 100, and became Brown's first number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart since 2006. Brown released his fourth studio album F.A.M.E. in 2011, which became his first album to reach number one on the Billboard 200. It was certified gold in the US, Australia and Ireland. Lead single "Yeah 3x" reached the top ten in several international countries. The album's second single "Look at Me Now", featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, became Brown's first top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2008. F.A.M.E. also spawned four other singles: "Beautiful People" featuring Benny Benassi, "She Ain't You", "Next to You" featuring Justin Bieber, and "Wet the Bed" featuring Ludacris.

Brown released his fifth studio album Fortune in June 2012, which became his second number one album on the Billboard 200. The album spawned the worldwide top ten singles "Turn Up the Music" and "Don't Wake Me Up". Brown's sixth studio album X is due for release in 2013 and was preceded by the singles "Fine China", "Don't Think They Know" featuring vocals by Aaliyah and "Love More" featuring Nicki Minaj.
