The game was held at the Pacaembu stadium, at the time of reforms, full of debris, stones and iron beams scattered among the stands. Full stadium, the game, the banter between fan groups, especially Mancha Verde Independent and Twist. Suddenly, fans invade the pitch, armed with sticks and stones, going against each other. The TV's recorded live groups of cowards who surrounded and beat opponents alone. Finally, the Pacaembu was practically destroyed, 101 were wounded and sãopaulino Márcio da Silva Gasparin, 16, who after being clubbed, was taken to hospital in a coma, and he died eight days after suffering the attack on the day on August 28. After these facts were downed Independent Channel and justice, and drastic change in dealing with organized.
