The U.S. city of Reno, Nevada was once home to a Chinatown that existed east of Virginia Street and north of the Truckee River around 1878.[1] A secret plan to destroy the Chinatown by fire by the middle of winter, leaving many on the streets.[2] About 50 homes were destroyed in the blaze with no trace left of the Chinatown.[3]
