Chikagawa Station (近川駅 Chikagawa-eki) is a railway station on the JR East Ōminato Line located in the city of Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 42.7 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Ōminato Line at Noheji Station.

History

Chikagawa Station was opened on September 25, 1921 on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR). All freight services were discontinued from March 15, 1972, at which time the station became unmanned. With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (the successor to the JGR) on April 1, 1987, it came under the operational control of JR East.

Although originally built with two opposed side platforms, at present Chikagawa Station has a single side platform serving bidirectional traffic. The small rain shelter for passengers is unattended.
