Chichua

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chichua (Georgian: ჩიჩუა) is a Georgian noble family claiming their descent from the princes Chikovani, the second house of the Dadiani of Mingrelia. Professor Cyril Toumanoff considers this surname a local Mingrelian variation of the Chijavadze. They were received among the princely nobility of the Russian Empire in 1903.[1]
